Preamble

We the people of Ibibio land of Akwa Ibom State of Nigeria residing in USA/Canada solemnly and firmly resolve to live in peace, unity, and harmony as members of a body for the promotion of unity, love, and progress among the entire Ibibio people.

Formation

Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio, a socio-cultural organisation founded in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, in 1987. The organisation comprises of chapters worldwide with the common aim of preserving and sharing the rich culture and heritage of the Ibibio people, fostering education and partnerships, as well as influencing social policies that strive for the  economic freedom improving quality of life in the community.

Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio Dallas Chapter was formed in 2018. The Official Inauguration was on the 27th of April, 2019.

Mission Statement

As an Organization, the Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio believes that our members are entitled to dignity, fairness, justice, respect, responsibility and accountability. Our mission is to promote events, programs and services that will bring progress to the community members of Akwa Ibom State residing here in the USA/ Canada region and Nigeria.  We will accomplish our mission through broad member participation and by building alliance with other Nigerian communities in the region, other communities and organizations.

 

Official Name

The name of the association shall be “Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio Dallas Chapter (USA), Inc. hereinafter referred to as the “Mboho”. The International Headquarters is at Sir Udo Udoma House, Udo Udoma Avenue, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.

Motto

The motto of the Mboho shall be “Oneness for Service”.
